Pretty in pink Swallowtail

Morning Crafters…  Happy Monday to you all, comes round to quickly doesnt it?? For those of you who havent joined me from Make My Mondays Blog you wont know my exciting news yet.. although i did mention last week i had some exciting news.. well im now a overexcited proud new member of the Make my Mondays Design Team… and here my first card for this weeks ‘Heat Embossing’ Challenge click here if you would like to play along

IMG_2458

So heres my card… using the gorgeous Swallowtail Stampin Up stamp….  Ive stamped the butterfly using versamark ink, then heat embossed it with clear powder… IMG_2459 Ive coloured my butterfly in with 3 stampin up inks.. Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Pretty in Pink with a sponge.. I then carefully cut the butterfly out and then mounted her on a Rich Razzleberry layer, which id spritzed with a ‘Smooch Spritz’ from stampin up – in Vanilla Shimmer (£4.50 each and available in 3 pearlised colours) isnt it yummy… IMG_2461 My sentiment is from the Itty Bitty banners set, which has Framelit Dies to go with them making these cute little banners – I stamped 2 sentiments one in Melon Mambo and 1 in Rich Razzleberry – as i coudnt decide which one, then used both one on top of the other… The little paper flower is made from the 1 1/4” scallop circle punch and the 7/8th” scallop circle punch, i punch several in a mix of Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink, 1 then scrunched and peeled each apart – giving them a faux suede feel, and put them altogther with a sparkly brad… IMG_2460 My card was inspired by the gorgeous flowers my son bought me on friday for Mothers Day… bless him he said mummy i dont think i can hide these… Heres the cards he made me too which he gave me yesterday morning… IMG_2462 Arnt they gorgeous… Hope all you yummy craftin mummys had a lovely day too… Heres what i used: Stamps – Swallowtail and Itty Bitty Banners, Card Stock – Crumb cake, Rich Razzleberry, Pretty in pink, Melon Mambo and Whisper white. Ink – Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Pretty in Pink, Versa mark Clear Embossing powder, Itty Bitty Banners Framelits, Vanilla shimmer Smooch Spritz, 1 1/4” scallop circle punch and 7/8th” scallop circle punch.
