Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop - Monochrome

Image may contain: text

Welcome to our Ink. Stamp. Share Blog hop, we are a group of global Stampin' Up! Demonstrators sharing creative ideas and inspiration using current Stampin' Up! products. I'm Laura Mackie from the UK you may of joined me from Sandra's blog or you may be starting off here, which ever I'm sure your going to be inspired to go get your Stamp on and get inky! enjoy...

This month our theme is MONOCHROME not heard of it before this is the meaning but in our case card making / papercraft!! Ha!Ha!

Monochrome definition, a painting or drawing in different shades of a single colour

and here is what I've made

I've used the Beauty Abounds bundle - (Rubber Stamps and dies) to create my card, using the Smooshing Technique to create my background on Shimmery White cardstock using Grapefruit Grove ink. smooshing is a pretty forgiving technique and gives great variation of one colour - so perfect for this challenge.

I added some of the bokeh spots from the Stamp set in Grapefruit Grove ink to my background.

I 'smooshed' some more on an off cut off Shimmery white cardstock then die cut some butterflies from it, I wasn't overly fussy when clearing out the bits that hadn't popped out from the die cutting machine,  I liked the lighter block of shade its added!

I added a few sequins to embellish and finish off my card.

The Beauty Abounds Stamp set and Dies will carry over into the new catalogue however NOT as a Bundle enjoy a 10% saving only until 3rd June.

Like my smooshing technique?? I just love playing with this technique with one or more colours! check out my post and a video sharing the Smooshing Technique HERE
