Stampin' Up! Party Puffins Birthday card

Welcome to this months Ink. Stamp. Share monthly Blog Hop we our a

group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the world

sharing card making and papercraft ideas and inspiration using

Stampin' Up! Products. Your currently with me Laura Mackie a

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator from the UK.

This hop we get to share what we have been working on

and today I'm sharing the card I made for my niece's

9th birthday this week.

Now my Niece isnt so much a pink and purple girl so she told me recently!

telling me her favourite colour is now Blue! you can imagine my

arghh! oh okay then response! thinking where do I go with this!

I've always made her girlie cards featuring unicorns and bright

pretty colours!

This year I reached for Pacific Point and Balmy Blue!

and this was my starting point, I had no idea what stamps I was using

or where this card was going!

Here is the finished card, in the end I decided on using

the Stampin' Up! Party Puffins Stamp set

I cut the '9' on my Scan N' Cut machine

enabling me to cut a pretty big number!

the 9 is cut using some retired

Balmy Blue Glimmer Cardstock.

I coloured the puffins with some Stampin' Blends

in Pale Papaya, Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight

and Balmy Blue.

Inside the card on the left has a little pocket

to pop some money in, as my Niece gets older

theres less ideas of gifts with the option of money

seems more appropriate and she can go shopping!

however I did gift her one of the

new Stampin' Up! Card Making Kits!

I couldn't resist personallising the card and added

her name die cut using the Playful Alphabet dies,

which I pre coloured a piece of Basic White cardstock

with Pacific Point ink and a blending Brush.

I added lots of Subtle Shimmer sequins and

a bow tied with White bakers twine

to finish my card.

I'm sharing a card I made using the new

Stampin' Party Puffins stamp set

I love these cute little guys stamp set

The stamp set is a Rubber Cling

mount stamp set 11 stamps in total @ £19 / 30Euros

Here's my card

I've stamped the Puffin with black ink,

which I've then coloured with my Stampin' Blends

in Soft Succulent, light Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia

and Light Pumpkin Pie for his feet and beak.

'Happy Birthday 2 You'

is Die cut in Basic Black cardstock

with the Playful Alphabet dies and foam adhesive sheets,

The Foam Adhesive sheets are fab and add

quick and easy dimension to the die cut letters.

unfortunately the puffins don't come with dies,

they are easy to fussy cut and worth the time, I like to

stamp images and then sit in

front of the TV to cut them,

I've adhered the puffin

down on dimensionals.

I've stamped the card inner with the birthday cake

which I also coloured in with my

Stampin' Blends alcohol markers in

Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent and Fresh Freesia.
