Stampin' For Christmas monthly Blog Hop

Welcome to this months Stampin' for Christmas  Blog Hop,
we are a group of  Stampin' Up! Demonstrators
from all over the world sharing Christmas
card making & Papercraft ideas with Stampin' Up! Products

Here is what I made for todays hop
using the Stampin' Up! Snowflake Wishes
Stamp set.

Stampin up Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set

To create my card I cut a Thick Basic White card base
measuring 29.7cm x 10.5cm, scored in half at 14.8cm

I then cut a Smoky Slate layer slightly smaller
measuring 10cm x 14.4cm

I then stamped lots of the snowflakes
in varying sizes onto the Smoky Slate
layer in Versamark ink which I then heat set
with Silver Embossing powder.

While I was playing I couldnt
resist grabbing some ink Refills and a baby wipe
to create the card below, Known as either
the Baby Wipe Technique or Reinker Technique.

Its a fun technique and the colour combinations
are endless and the finish is beautiful!

Inks refills used
Highland Heather, Smoky Slate,
Seaside Spray, Coastal Cabana
and Gorgeous Grape

I flicked the background again with
Frost White Shimmer paint and also with my
Highland Heather Dark Stampin' Blend
I love the result of this just taking away that
stark plain backdground, the Frost White Shimmer
paint adds a lovely
subtle shimmer which is beautiful.

Heres a close up of the splattered / Flicked Background.

Finishing my Smoky Slate card...

Once I'd heat set the Snowflakes
I then used Smoky Slate ink pad and a blending brush
to darken the 4 edges of my embossed layer,

to finish my card I flicked the embossed layer
all over with Frost White shimmer paint and also with
my Smoky Slate Dark Stampin' Blend,

Both cards I've added Basic
Rhinestones to each of the centres
of the snowflakes. and a bow tied to
the Silver embossed Sentiment layer in
Whisper White Crinkled ribbon.
