Stampin Up Regional Training - Telford

As promised my swaps from Saturdays Stampin Up Regional Training event in Telford, i made 108 of these... a really random number i know....

The swap was really quite quick and easy to reproduce, the slowest part was tieing the twine around the butterflies body... the colourful butterfly is created using the babywipe and re-inker technique, basically you grap several baby wipes and place on a plate, then i stamp my image very lightly in black ink on the wipes so i can see where my ink needs to go... then with my reinkers i drop drops of ink randomly to create my own stamp pad.... isnt it a beautiful technique and perfect for butterflies plus many other images too....

heres a closer look -

and here is my name badge too, we are asked when the event is launched what we need to do... ie make Swaps and make our own Creative name badge -

My name badge was made using the Swallowtail stamp, with Papers from the gorgeous Epic Day set, my old favourite Pennant Punch and my Butterfly Embosslit...

What Ive used today:
Stamps - Papillion Potpourri and Occasions Alphabet
Ink - Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo, Marina Mist and More Mustard
Card Stock - Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo and Whisper White
Punches - Elegant Butterfly
Embellishments - Lucky Limeade Bakers Twine
Embossing Folder - Needlepoint border

a cup of thanks

Hi Crafters... Good Weekend?? i had a lovely 3 day weekend.. filled with crafting, rollerskating and then yesterday a craft stall in my local village, but back to the day job today, but of course i had to show you the card i made to play along with the Paper Players challenge-

take a look at the card i made:

i couldnt resist playing with Patterned Occasions - such and 'all rounder' set, and i love how using my markers i can ink only where i want - meaning i can leave odd the sentiment - like i did above, this means you can use the stamps for more cards than just the one that the stamp says... catch my drift??? Doents the Tea Shoppe sentiment 'a cup of thanks' fit the bill a treat :)

take a closer look:

Ive added a touch of paper piercing too... and you could too the Essentials paper piercing pack is currently FREE during Sale-s-a-Bration with a £45 order... call or email me today for a catalogue or with your order.

Here's what I used to make this card:

Stamps - Patterned Occasions (FREE during sab) and Tea Shoppe
Card stock- Very Vanilla and Basic Black, First Edition DSP, Silver Glimmer card stock.
Ink- Basic Black marker.
Apothecary Accents Framelits and essentials paper piercing Mat (FREE during sale a Bration)
Basics rhinestones
