Stampin Up Regional Training - Telford

As promised my swaps from Saturdays Stampin Up Regional Training event in Telford, i made 108 of these... a really random number i know....

The swap was really quite quick and easy to reproduce, the slowest part was tieing the twine around the butterflies body... the colourful butterfly is created using the babywipe and re-inker technique, basically you grap several baby wipes and place on a plate, then i stamp my image very lightly in black ink on the wipes so i can see where my ink needs to go... then with my reinkers i drop drops of ink randomly to create my own stamp pad.... isnt it a beautiful technique and perfect for butterflies plus many other images too....

heres a closer look -

and here is my name badge too, we are asked when the event is launched what we need to do... ie make Swaps and make our own Creative name badge -

My name badge was made using the Swallowtail stamp, with Papers from the gorgeous Epic Day set, my old favourite Pennant Punch and my Butterfly Embosslit...

What Ive used today:
Stamps - Papillion Potpourri and Occasions Alphabet
Ink - Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo, Marina Mist and More Mustard
Card Stock - Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo and Whisper White
Punches - Elegant Butterfly
Embellishments - Lucky Limeade Bakers Twine
Embossing Folder - Needlepoint border

Blossom frame

Today I'm sharing a card Ive made for a challenge over at less is more... I haven't taken part in any challenges for agessss, so thought i best get my butt back in gear ... :)

I've used one of my favourite SU sets Stippled blossoms...

Check out the challenge by clicking on this link -  http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.co.uk/

I made an embossed frame using my simply scored scoring board, then masked it using post it notes, I then sponged the background using pool party ink,

I then stamped my flowers using pink pirouette, then again with the second stamp using primrose petals, my leaves are stamped using old olive ink.
My sentiment was stamped in versamark then heat embossed in gold embossing powder on SU's card stock vellum, I then attached the banner using a SU antique brad with a bow tied using whisper white bakers twine.

What I've used:
Stamps - Stippled blossoms and Pettit Pairs
Card - white and vellum card stock,
Ink - pool party, pink pirouette, primrose petals and versamark
Embellishments - all Stampin up - antique brads and whisper white bakers twine.

creative notes....

After last Sundays training and lots of fellow demonstrators admiring my notebook i thought today I'd share it with all my blog friends... It's my Stampin up notebook I take to meetings, I jot down my to dos in it, sketch out ideas... Basically anything crafting or Stampin up it goes in here... My bible

I went for neutral colours, crumb cake, very vanilla and basic black for a classic look.. My swallowtail is heat embossed with black embossing powder on crumb cake card stock, which I carefully cut out and stuck on to my first edition DSP base...

I just love the rose trim from the spring and summer mini... I almost hate cutting it to use it!! Does anyone else get like this about products or beautiful DSP or is it just crazy old me ????

What I've used:
Stamps - swallowtail, broadsheet alphabet, that's the ticket roller,
Cardstock and ink - basic black, crumb cake, and very vanilla, first edition DSP
Embellishments - all Stampin up - tea time trinkets, twine, rose trim, paper flower made from several scallop circle punches, ribbons down ring binder all Stampin up.

This is also simular to one you would get if you signed up as a demonstrator with me and my team, as part of your welcome to my team welcome pack... Obviously with your name or initials tehehehe...
