Stampin' Up! Hydrangea Haven Mothers Day Card

Welcome to this months Ink.Stamp.Share monthly Blog Hop
We our a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from
all over the world, and your currently with me Laura Mackie
a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator from the United Kingdom.

This months hop we get to share with you what
we have been making and I've been busy making
Mothers Day cards as its Mothers Day
here in the UK tomorrow,

This is the card I've made for
my mother in law using the
Hydrangea Haven Stamp set from Stampin' Up!
with the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series paper.

Stampin up Hydrangea Haven

I was inspired one of the cards in the catalogue
on page 18, The card in the catalogue
I just loved the watercoloured stamped
effect background using the stamp in the
Stamp set, I've used the same colour
inks  - Rococo Rose, Old Olive and
Gorgeous Grape, but just really elaborated on it and
thought a double opening
/ Tri fold card base would be perfect for a
mothers day card - a little bit more special than a
standard single fold card!?!

I lined the Thick Basic White card base
with the Striped paper from the Hydrangea Hill pack,

The flowers featuring through out
the card are also fussy cut from
one of the papers in the pack,

My card base measures a full a4 sheet so
29.7cm x 21cm  and then
scored at 10cm and at 19.9cm,

I then cut off the the corners at an angle
so to reveal the DSP inside my card.

I added the 'MUM'
using the Playful Alphabet dies, which is
mounted on a stitched label from the Tasteful Label Dies.

The Hydrangea Haven Stamp set
 has some lovely sentiments which
I've also used on the front and on the inside
of the card see below

Stampin up Hydrangea Haven

The bow tied to the right wraps right the
way round the card and
has to be un-tied to open up the card

I've also embellished my card with lots of the
pastel Pearls which co-ordinate with the
suite - in shades of pink - Rococo Rose
and mauves - Gorgeous Grape.

Stampin' Up! Gilded Autumn Suite

Welcome to this months 'Special' Ink. Stamp. Share Blog hop
This special hop was introduced back in April / May time when the UK
went into its first Lockdown, it gave us the opportunity to share
what we had been working, the UK is back in another month
long Lockdown until early December. I'm so thankful we carried
this hop on! and we can share what we love with everyone.

Heres what I've been working on:

Using the beautiful Gilded Autumn Suite from Stampin' Up!

Stampin up Autumnal Birthday cards

I've been batch making some birthdays cards for up and coming
birthdays, I try and work a month ahead and have them ready, but
best laid plans don't always work out, these cards I've made
for the last of my November Birthdays and some of my December
Birthdays, I also made extras and these are some spares to add to my stash,

Stampin up Gilded Autumn

I sometimes find I can scrap last minute for a card,
With the current lockdown restrictions here in the UK, I find I've been
being asked more by family and friends
for cards for those who dont shop online,

Stampin up Beautiful Autumn

Did you spot the little Acron Trinket??

These cards will cost a little more to post due to the adding
of the gorgeous little Acorn Trinkets, but I love them, they really are
lovely and add an extra special touch, this is something to
bare in mind when your adding embellishments to your cards,
(I dont mind paying that little bit more)

The card involved very little stamping really, as the background layers
all use the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP), in fact
the only stamping I did was Stamping my sentiment which
I've stamped on to DSP also, my
sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso ink,
then punched out with the Story Label Punch,

You dont have to use DSP though
you could stamp all the different layers,

Card Measurements

card base 10.5cm x full a4 sheet, scored in half at 14.85
lay in your trimmer landscape and cut off 7.5cm

so you'll have a piece measuring 10.5cm x 7.5cm, this becomes the front
for your card, I saw the idea for this card layout / style recently at
Stampin' Up! OnStage @ Home event and couldn't wait to give it a try.

Stampin up Dressed to Impress

Stampin' Up! Dressed to Impress Birthday card

I had to make this week a 40th Birthday card for a family friend
and this is what I made for her using the Stampin' Up!
Dressed to Impress Stamp set with Magenta Madness Ink
and cardstock!

Stampin up Dressed to Impress

I stamped the little flowers in Basic Grey ink, then
used the little splat / splodge stamp with Magenta Madness
ink to add colour to each of the flowers,
I used first and second generation ink.

I used my dark Old Olive Stampin Blend to add colour to the
little leaves,

Spot those Old retired Number Dies???
I can NOT Part with them! and they teamed up
perfectly with some pink Foil sheet I had in my stash

The edges are sponged with basic grey ink!
I've added a few basic Rhinestones amongst the
dots to add a little sparkle!
