Stampin' Up! - Hello Summer Journal 2021

 Making a Hello Summer Journal

Hey crafty Friends, recently 

Sara Douglass Stampin' Up!'s CEO

shared a fab Summer Journal, as soon as I saw her video 

I thought I could make that and actually do that, 

I'm not a scrapbooker at all, But love the idea

of this informal way of memory keeping!

I set to find a Kraft Journal 

and found a perfect one on Amazon

I kept my journal pretty much like Sara's as i loved

it, I did add a few of my own little elements

I added the Strawberries as an additional element

for my Summer here in the UK isnt summer 

without yummy English Strawberries!! I also added one 

of the Bumblebee Trinkets.

My sun is created using the Picture This stitched circle dies

with a star die cut using the Stitched Stars Dies, I cut 

the points off the star to add round the circle, to create 

the Sun burst image!

The Hello is stamped in black ink 

using the Biggest Wish Stamp set

and like Sara's my Summer is die cut using the 

Playful Alphabet dies

I've used the Days to Remember Stamp set

to stamp the 20 21 and I shall definetly 

be using it through my journal to add dates etc 

I cant wait for my photos to arrive so I can 

start my Summer 2021 Journal!

Rainbow Watercoloured background handmade card

Watercoloured Rainbow Background, featuring 

Stampin' Up! Water Painters, with Butterfly Wishes Stamp set

Since lockdown myself and my team have been getting 

together virtually and have also been organising monthly swaps, 

Each month taking it in turns to organise and choose a theme.

Last months Card Making Swap theme was Rainbow

and we had to use a minimum of 3 or 4 colours of the Rainbow.

Me being me i went full on rainbow, and set to creating Rainbow 

watercoloured back grounds and went from there

I used Stampin' Up! Ink refills in the following colours

alongside Water Painters to create the background 

on shimmer Cardstock

Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, 

Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay and Gorgeous Grape.

I have die cut the letters in Basic Black cardstock, in my video

i die cut the letters with the NEW Stampin' Up! Foam Adhesive Sheets

WOW this stuff is a game changer!

The butterfly is also stamped onto shimmer cardstock 

using Memento black ink, and hand cut out,
