Stampin' Up! Leave a Little Sparkle

Wednesday I held my monthly card making class, so today 

I thought I'd share one of the cards we made, 

I decided to base this months cards on animals including 

this unicorn one made using the Stampin' Up! Leave a Little Sparkle Stamp Set

I stamped the unicorn image in Memento ink onto Whisper White cardstock 

then die cut out with the So Sweetly Dies, 

I've coloured the unicorn with my Stampin' Up! Watercolour pencils 

creating a rainbow effect mane, I blended the pencils with a Stampin' Up! Blender pen, 

The grey layer I stamped with swirls and stars both stamps are 

included in the Leave a Little Sparkle stamp set to..

all stamped in Smoky Slate ink onto Smoky Slate cardstock

I've also added some wink of stella over the unicorns face, 

to give it a little more sparkle!

I added a bow tied in Whisper White Bakers Twine, 

and some sparkly rhinestones to finish...

Card Base Thick Whisper White cardstock.

Stampin' Up! Watercoloured Unicorn Birthday card

So if you follow my facebook page (HERE) you will of seen I had a very 'Unicorn' weekend celebrating my nieces 6th Birthday... it started on Saturday with unicorn cupcakes and indoor play, the cupcakes I made are inspired by the super clever Cupcake Jemma who has an amazing you tube channel! go check her out she is soooooo clever!

Then Sunday we had a family day with more cake, yummy party food and of course presents and cards! now this year I was stumped as I made her a unicorn card last year!! who knew she would be even more unicorn mad this year! so glad I kept my Myths and Magical stamp set - Phew!!

Heres this years Unicorn card!!!!

My background is created with my Watercolour pencils on Shimmer Cardstock

I used Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay Watercolour Pencils with an Aqua Painter to create the background, 

While the background was drying I coloured in my Unicorn also stamped on shimmer cardstock... using the same coloured pencils..

I die-cut 'Amelia' using my Alphabet Dies, and adhered with dimensional pads for the Eclipse effect background...

My unicorn ponytail was made with bakers twine from my stash all Stampin' Up! but retired stock Im so glad I;m a hoarder at times!! hehe

My Happy Birthday sentiment is stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink again on Shimmer Cardstock, 

I added lots of sequins to finish!

Stampin' Up! Unicorn Card

So following on from Tuesdays blog post HERE This is the other card I made my niece for her 5th Birthday... Now my niece is horse and unicorn mad and ages ago I saw Monica Gale's (fellow demonstrator) amazing unicorn invites she had made.. When I saw them I was blown away I shouldn't of been as Monica is super talented and always comes up with beautiful cards but this was totally genius!!... so when I was thinking of cards for my niece I knew I wanted to CASE Monica's invites....

heres my Unicorn birthday card..

and guess what my niece loved it as did my sister, now this card used retired Stampin' Up! products

but could easily be made using current products available in my online shop.. 

the eyelids and lashes I drew on by hand using a black marker, the unicorns horn was hand cut too.. its very much a cut it and see card.. but it turned out perfectly - :)
