Stampin' Up! Butterfly Brilliance watercoloured handmade card

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Brilliance
watercoloured handmade card

Its Monday! a brand new week
Make Today well the week Ridiculously AWESOME!

I LOVED making this card, playing with
Fluid 100 - Watercolour paper and my
 Stampin' Up! Watercolour pencils

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Brilliance

I created a Rainbow effect background on the
watercolour paper using my Stampin' Up! Watercolour Pencils in
Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight,
Old Olive, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point
and Gorgeous Grape Watercolour Pencils which
I then Blended with a water Painter so the colours
merged together,
I heat set with my heat tool so it dried quicky!
I'm an impatient crafter!! haha!

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Brilliance

I then mounted up the Stampin' Up! Butterfly Brilliance
Stamp on my Stamparatus and stamped the Butterflies
in Memento ink, I re stamped it 3 times so the
stamped images really stood out, the watercolour
paper is an uneven surface and I always
find it needs stamping more than once, so the
Stamparatus is perfect for this!

I love this sentiment!
and I felt it was perfect for my card!
I stamped it again in memento ink onto
Basic White cardstock, and then hand cut it out
as I didnt want to loose to much of the beautiful
Butterflies behind!

I finished my card with LOTS of sequins
from the Artistry Blooms sequins they our beautiful and
thought they worked perfectly!

Stampin' Up! Watercoloured Unicorn Birthday card

So if you follow my facebook page (HERE) you will of seen I had a very 'Unicorn' weekend celebrating my nieces 6th Birthday... it started on Saturday with unicorn cupcakes and indoor play, the cupcakes I made are inspired by the super clever Cupcake Jemma who has an amazing you tube channel! go check her out she is soooooo clever!

Then Sunday we had a family day with more cake, yummy party food and of course presents and cards! now this year I was stumped as I made her a unicorn card last year!! who knew she would be even more unicorn mad this year! so glad I kept my Myths and Magical stamp set - Phew!!

Heres this years Unicorn card!!!!

My background is created with my Watercolour pencils on Shimmer Cardstock
I used Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay Watercolour Pencils with an Aqua Painter to create the background,

While the background was drying I coloured in my Unicorn also stamped on shimmer cardstock... using the same coloured pencils..

I die-cut 'Amelia' using my Alphabet Dies, and adhered with dimensional pads for the Eclipse effect background...

My unicorn ponytail was made with bakers twine from my stash all Stampin' Up! but retired stock Im so glad I;m a hoarder at times!! hehe

My Happy Birthday sentiment is stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink again on Shimmer Cardstock,

I added lots of sequins to finish!

Here are the yummy cupcakes I made too

Our theme this month  is 'Water' here is our brief:
Could include Oceans, Beach, Lake, Snow, rain, bath, shower, beverages - as long as it has water you can use it! so I went totally out of the 'box' and used actual 'water' with my watercolour pencils to create some quick water-coloured backgrounds..

Here are my cards:

The card above uses 4 watercolour pencils
Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape and Night of Navy all from the new Part 2 watercolour pencil collection..

Card 2 below uses 3 watercolour pencils
Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Cherry Cobbler

Card 3 below uses pencils from part 1 and part 2 (available as below)

Each background is created on Watercolour paper, I laid down the colour then blended over with my Aqua painter, these backgrounds are so fun to make...

The  Watercolour pencils are as you would expect from Stampin' Up! amazing quality, smooth they can be used with our aqua painter, blender pens or alone to achieve amazing watercolour images.
