Happy Tuesday – Its back to normal today for us after the Christmas Holidays, My son is back to school and Im back to the day job…

and the other Challenge is with http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.co.uk/ there challenge is ‘Word’  - a word that you hope or want the year to bring a bit like a resolution – i choose ‘Cherish the Moments’ just because i feel sometimes life ends up so fast past in my world that i forget to0 or we dont do enough to create those special moments

New baby "postcard"

Happy Monday lovelys its a fresh new week and a new challenge over at make my Monday this week it's my challenge  and the theme is ITS CHILD'S PLAY and we would like to see a child's birthday card or new baby card.... We can't wait to see what you come up with....

B is for Baby

B is for baby well in this case it is, my boyfriend became an uncle on Tuesday, so I made the proud new parents this card to welcome little Ruby and to send our congratulations....

I've used my Baby Prints stamp set, with pretty in pink and regal rose card stock and ink, both retiring I'm so going to miss these yummy girlie colours....

I've used my favourite sentiment set yet again... Occasions alphabet i can't get enough of this set.. And to think I hmmm and harred on buying it...

I wanted Ruby's card to be personal to her... So I carefully cut out the R and attached it to the pink button with twine...

The gorgeous lace ive added is from the Artisan embellishment kit available from the spring and summer mini... I haven't played much with this before.. And I could seriously kick myself for not man it's full of gorgeous prettiness... And only costs £8.95

The insides of my cards have for me to be as lovely as the fronts..... That's the great bit about making cards there as pretty and over the top as we like ....

What I've used:

Stamps - Baby Prints, Occasions Alpabet, friendly phrases.

Card stock & ink - pretty in pink, regal rose and very vanilla

Embellishments - lace from Artisan embellishments and pink ribbon from my stash...

Babies, booties, buttons and bows

Its mid week, hope your week is going well??
My week is going ok… busy as usual roll on friday!! this sunday im doing a stand in my local village so busy getting craft bits ready…

Using the gorgeous colour from SU Wisteria Wonder…



My sentiment is from Occasions alphabet… I seem to be using this set alot lately…
See my button & bow….. the bow is tied in whisper white bakers twine.

My ickle wisteria wonder rose has been inked with a sponge, I do love this lacey Flower trim available from SU, 1.8mtrs for £6.25 (126869) its great how you can colour it to match or co-ordinate with you layouts..

Baby Blues….

 

So this weeks Challenge over at Less Is More is a colour Challenge Blue & Green, Of course I just had to play along.. its still awful weather here with the rain plus Thunder and Lightening.. (ps i hate thunder)

Here’s my card a cute (i hope you think so too) ‘new baby card’

The Baby hands are stamped in Baja Breeze Blue, the stamp set its from is Baby Prints available from SU but only until the 31st August 2012, as the feature in the Summer Mini. The set is available in Wood or Clear mount, Wood mount @ £24.95 and Clear @ £19.95 for 7 Stamps.

I’ve inked the edges of the sentiment with Baja Breeze ink, punched out using the Stampin’ Up! Curly Label punch available from SU for £15.50

I’ve created the border round the card using the Stampin’ Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool, I totally love my scoring board, and wonder how i ever crafted before with out it.. Its also featured in the summer mini for £25.95.

A close up of the Bakers twine, wrapped around the card and then finished off in a bow, the Bakers Twine is available in 5 colours and white for £2.50 for a 22.9mtrs. (see the Summer Mini for all the Colours)

Baby Shower ‘Advice Book’

So apparently at a baby shower its quite a tradition for all guests to write a note of either advice, well wishes or something funny for the mother to be to read.. so i thought ‘Top Note’ book is ideal, perfect size and makes a super cute keep sake..

The shaped book is created using the Stampin’ Up! Top Note die, it really is a great item, it can be used to make so many cute things. I’ve given the album a Strawberry theme just because the babys nursery has a strawberry theme, so thought it would match nicely..

I used a the lovely doiley punch to create the cute ruched edge finished off with some red ribbon and a bow topped off with a diamante brad, avaliable in the Stampin’ Up! catalogue, they finish off bows beautifully and also the bows end up perfect each time..

the cute little flowers are made with the boho blossoms punch, and the leaves from the Bird Punch again all SU products..


This is the Frame Ive made to go along side the cards..

Baby Shower…

So its now under a week away… my sisters baby shower. ive never had to organize one before saying that I’ve never even been to baby shower myself so I’ve been taking advice from friends and ‘google’ing and eBaying lots…
I made the invites which i put on here a few weeks Ive been having RSVP’s and im now at about 37 people (god lets hope the weathers good cause 30 odd people in a house is going to be cosy) so over the last few days I’ve been making games, food labels, Favours, Balloon weights, advice book and prizes the list goes on…….
The Favours (50 of them) are made with the pillow box die from  Stampin’ Up! using Whisper white card stock, melon mambo ink and the oh soooo cute Baby Prints stamp set, which is in the Summer mini which ends on the 31st of August dont miss out on this set..
 
                   
For the sentiment I used the ‘Just for You’ from the Oval All set another lovely Stampin’ Up! set, with the small oval and Scallop Oval punches.
