Ive used a colour combination of Crushed Curry, Midnight Muse and Whisper White... i wasnt a lover of Crushed Curry to start with but its growing on me and im liking it alot with the Midnight Muse... I do love the Chevron Ribbon :)

Birthday **Star***

 

Its wednesday already half way to the weekend, and its time for Midweek Motivation over at Make my Monday, if you havent taken part in this weeks challenge theres still time... This weeks challenge is 'Its Childs Play' and we want to see either a new baby card or childs birthday card... heres my card for mid week motivation...

My card is a quick one layer card, using a colour combination of Costal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding and Baked brown sugar..

My stars are randomly stamped directly onto my white card base, using my Simply Stars stamp set, ive then stamped some splodges from my Gorgeous Grunge stamp set...

My sentiment is stamped in Coastal Cabana - using my Chalk Talk stamp set with co-ordinating Framelit, The tag is finished off with linen thread...

Golden Wedding

This is a card i made recently for a friend of my mums who were celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary, Ive used the new Stampin up Metalic Encore Gold stamp pad which releases on the 29th August in the New Autumn and Winter Cattie....

Ive used my Hearts a Flutter Stamp set with Framelits... heres a closer look...

Ive used Baked Brown Sugar Ruffle stretch trim, a very vintage button with linen thread... the buttons are £5.50 for 24 buttons, Linen Thread is only £3.95 for 13.7mtrs, the ruffle trim is £8.25 for 9.10mtrs..

Merry Christmas Money Pocket

 

Wow its Monday again and I’m back to work today after a lovely week off… its gone so quick, we had a lovely day out on Wednesday at Brandon Country Park where we took part in a nature trail hunt which was great fun for adults and children alike. Thursday we spent the day with my sister and niece in Cambridge – we shopped and shopped… Then Friday we went to the cinema and saw Smurfs 2 in 3D, my son and I really enjoyed our week he’s now gone to spend a week with his daddy…

So back to todays Make My Monday Challenge and this week is

3D Elements

money pocket holder measurements

I promised you the measurements of my money pocket holder i made for saturdays blog hop - to see it click here

it uses a sheet of A4 card stock....

the left handside  shows the pocket and the righthand side shows the money holder that slides into the pocket...

excuse the inches and cm's i tend to use both and with my money pocket i did just that and mixed them up... but generally the money pocket holder is in inches and the money holder slider part is in cm but for those who prefer inches the inner is 3 2/8th" by 5 3/4" 

once you have cut and scored then glued the side and base - decorate as you wish

fancy silhouette

Happy Monday bloggers I'm very happy for a Monday as i have this week off to spend with my son... We're not going away just having days out.... So its time for another make my Monday challenge and this week is

                                                                    SILHOUETTES 

Heres my card.... It's a super quick card made this morning 

To make the coloured background i inked up my clear block using my SU markers, then spritzed it with alcohol to merge the colours - so quick but effective Ive used all 5 2013/2014 in colours ....

I made my black silhouette flower from black card stock, bird punch for my leaves and also my fancy flower punch... I couldn't resist adding the button to the centre of my flower to fancy it up...

Heres what I've made for the hop...

I saw this idea on Pintrest a while back - a money holder / pocket... I loved it so much i decided to have a go at putting my own version together and here it is....

I'm going to be adding in the next day or so a post with the dimensions and instructions on how i made the money pocket - they are so easy and quick though  and will be great for Christmas too... Heres a closer look (p.s excuse the tatty £10 note!!  lol)

I've used a colour combination of Whisper White with Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cobana, 

I also made a card to go with my money pocket..

spot the stitching - ive finally added some stitching to my card creations - as a Curtain maker this has been something ive wanted to do for ageeeeessss.... 

have you spoted my ruffle trim centred flowers.... im loving this stuff how cute does it look 

Ive also put a couple of cards together using the Post Card stamp - this is fab for quick thank yous or messages stamped onto card or as ive used it today layered onto a card...

i couldnt resist using it with Flower Shop - can you tell how much im in love with this set!!??!!
