Happy 40th Birthday

Half way to the weekend yey!! Today is my friend Darrens 40th Birthday here is the card i made for him using my Simply Stars Stamp set with Tape It and Gorgeous Grunge..



Ive used a colour combination of Crushed Curry, Midnight Muse and Whisper White... i wasnt a lover of Crushed Curry to start with but its growing on me and im liking it alot with the Midnight Muse... I do love the Chevron Ribbon :)



What Ive Used:
Stamps - Tape It, Simply Stars, Gorgeous Grunge and Teeny Tiny Wishes
Colours - Midnight Muse, Crushed Curry and Whisper White.
Ribbon - Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon and Whisper white Bakers Twine

Starfruit swallowtail

happy Monday crafters... Comes round way to,quick doesn't it :( ....
I had a play yesterday with a new stamp... It's from the Stampin up spring and summer catalogue... And it the single stamp swallowtail.... Take a look...



  
I had a play with the stamp, experimenting with different techniques, and then came across the challenge below... So then made another card with my new favourite stamp...


Have a closer look... 


I stamped the image with summer Starfruit, on to very vanilla card stock, 


I couldn't resist using a piece of the sycamore street DSP, its from a free pack of paper available with a £45 order during sale a Bration only,

Stamps - Swallowtail and teeny tiny wishes stamp set
Card stock - Sahara sand, very vanilla and summer Starfruit.

Elephants sorry


Happy Sunday... 

I'm sorry Ive lacked on blog updates since Wednesday... I haven't stopped :( but I'm back in blog land again, and pleasantly surprised to see a few of my cards have been picked as favourites in challenges happy days... Today I'm off with my lil sis and mum to a wedding fayre, but before I leave I thought I'd share this card with you...

It's using the wonderful free set patterned occasions... Free during sale a Bration with a £45 order...

I've coloured the cute elephant with my SU markers, the leaf DSP is from sycamore street again as part of this years sale a Bration, which ends on 23rd march.


My sentiment is from teeny tiny wishes.... The little flowers are punched from one of the flowers in the Itty bitty 3 pack set. 

Here's what I used

Stamps - patterned occasions (SAB) and teeny teeny wishes
Tangerine tango and island indigo markers
Sycamore street DSP
Itty bitty punch and the dotted scallop ribbon border punch

Bloomin' Happy Easter

Hi Crafters... 

Ive been having a play with my bird punch again... i started off making little chicks, then i started making flowers.... take a look

Todays card fits in rather well with two challenges one over at Less is More... link below and the other at Casology link below







Ive used 3 of the birds wings to make a tulip... and then the birds branch stem to make the stem for the tulip...

heres a closer look


Ive punched a 2 1/2" circle paper pierced the edges and added my flowers on to it, Ive tied the bunch of tulips with a piece of white bakers twine...


See the sentiment... Ive used the Happy Easter stamp from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set and the Bloomin' from the Sale-a-Bration set Bloomin' Marvelous - get it flowers bloom - bloomin Easter ...

My Friend Madison

Hope your week is going well?? My son has been with his dad until last night, so today im working a half day then Im going to enjoy spending some qualitity time with him... which knowing him he'll want to do 'making' Mummy wont argue with that lol....

Todays card im showing you is for a Challenge over at Inkspirational I was introduced to there challenges last week if you would likt to play along too click on the link below...

First off when i saw the colours red and green i thought Christmas card... and why not?? its never to early to start making them in my book... then I saw my Madison Avenue stamp set, (a FREE stamp set during Sale-a-Bration) and then this little card came together...

Ive used Lucky Limeade and Real Red ink, with Whisper white and Read Red card stock, 


Heres what i used to make my card:
Stamps - Madison Avenue (FREE with a £45 order during sale-a-bration), Teeny Tiny Wishes
Punched - Itty Bitty Punch, Modern Label and Word Window.
Ink - Read Red and Lucky Limeade
Card stock - Real Red and Whisper White
Embellishments - Basic rhinestones and white satin ribbon (retired).

Be my Valentine?!?

 

After slacking yesterday on the crafting front, today i could’nt resist in joining in on the Blog challenge over at http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.co.uk , its such a cute card sketch and my thoughts straight away was ooooo Valentines.. Im determined as ever to actively craft and blog as much as i can, heres what ive been making today…

I love Primrose Petals and love even more Primrose Petals and Early Espresso combination with the cleanness of the Very Vanilla a combination i will definately use again. its lovely using different colours, i feel the last few months all ive been using is reds and greens…

The card i made for the challenge uses all Stampin’ Up! card and products, detailed as below:

Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Primrose Petals Card Stock, Primrose Petals ink, Heart Punch, Heart of Hearts Embosslits, and the heart from the Itty Bitty punch Pack, Dry embossed lines using the Stampin’ Up! simply scoreboard,  Bitty Banners Framelits for sentiment and Scallop Trim Border Punch.

So let me show you what Ive been busy making:

This is using the new ‘Worlds Greatest’ wood mounted stamp. available for £8.95. This really doesnt do the card justice as the card is a musical card which i added a cute little birthday message for my son… Musical cards are NEW to SU featured on page 160 of the new Catalogue for £5.50.

BELOW: This card is a card i made for a swap several of us demonstrators did recently to show off new products to SU:

Ive used the new ‘Papillion PotPourri’ and coordinating Elegant Butterfly Punch…  Stamp set available from £13.95 for 7 beautiful butterfly stamps.

The Butterflies are all heat embossed with clear powder and coloured in with an ink pad and Blender pen, Ive used the lovely new 2012 in colours for this card, Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals and Raspberry Ripple.

As its now officially ‘Autumn’ I will also show you the wreath i made using the New Autumn Accents Die and the gorgeous Tulle Ribbon..

I covered my ring with the NEW Tulle Ribbon, Tulle Ribbon £6.25 for a 9mtr Roll.. I’ve then cut and embossed some leaves with the new Woodgrain embossing folder, some I stamped with the ‘En Francais’ and Woodgrain Large Stamps, Ive cut a few out in Hessian fabric, some in plain Card stock, all to give different textures and the feeling of Autumn, the best bit about this wreath it can come out year on year.. it now has pride of place on my entrance door.
