Stampin’ Up! Birthday Girl card

Yesterday i shared with you a boy birthday card so today i thought id share with you a female birthday card – The card is made by heat embossing the sentiment in clear or white powder i used clear.. I then used my blender pen with my in-colour ink pads to colour across the sentiment to reveal it… I saw the idea on Pinterest

image

The Sentiment comes from the Apothary Art stamp set teamed with the ‘youre the best’ stamp from Hello, Lovely stamp set

Acordian fancy fold

Hope you all had a lovely weekend, wasn't the weather gorgeous!?! Saturday I was busy painting my fence, and yesterday i took my son go karting, he's been gaining a while now with his dad but only every other weekend, and they've said because he's downing so well they'd like him to go every week, so today was my first time taking him, and ohhhhh boy was mummy scared - although he was awesome and I was proud my heart was in my month the whole time - guess its that having no control ...

So now to the job in hand and this weeks make my Monday challenge... FANCY FOLDS

I toyed with several ideas, but finally decided on this Acordian fold card, which I'd never tried before but glad i did as I'm quite pleased with how it turned out....

I've used the Stampin up set Papillion Potpourri - with their coordinating butterfly punches, which made this card pretty quick to make...

I've used basic grey as my card base, with melon mambo and whisper white...

My sentiment comes from another Stampin up set apothecary art, which Ive stamped also in melon mambo onto a strip of whisper white...

To make the Acordian fold card:

2 sheets of a4 cardstock,
Scored at 7.4cm, 14.8cm and 22.2cm

Then mark on the right hand bottom corner 7cm up, then cut diagonally from your first score line to the 7cm mark, do this on both sheets of card stock,

Then cut half way up on the 1st and 3rd score line, on one sheet from top to bottom then on the second bottom to top...

Then slip them together and voila....

I can't wait to visit your blog to see your fancy fold card for this weeks make my Monday challenge

What I've used:
Stamps - Papillion potpourri and apothecary art
Punches - elegant butterfly and Itty bitty butterfly
Cardstock and ink - basic grey, melon mambo and whisper white.

I created a background using my Stampin’ Up! Stippled Blossoms stamp set, with Pink Pirouette, Calypso Coral and Old Olive. Ive then cut up my background in to 3 panels – and layered them on to calypso coral which i then adhered to my very vanilla layer…

Have you ever created a ‘one sheet wonder’ ??? stamp all over a A4 sheet creating a background with your chosen stamp/s then cut it up to make several cards?? just Google ‘one sheet wonder’ template – for lots of ideas / designs, Best bit they produce lots of cards quickly with minimal waste too…

My banner is stamped with ‘Happiest Birthday’ sentiment which is from Aphothecary Art Stamp set. i just cut a strip of very vanilla then folded the ends in on each other then flaged the ends with my 1” square punch…
