Elephants sorry

Happy Sunday...

I'm sorry Ive lacked on blog updates since Wednesday... I haven't stopped :( but I'm back in blog land again, and pleasantly surprised to see a few of my cards have been picked as favourites in challenges happy days... Today I'm off with my lil sis and mum to a wedding fayre, but before I leave I thought I'd share this card with you...

My card today is inspired by this weeks challenge over at Inkspirational check it out below: click on the pic to go to their blog

It's using the wonderful free set patterned occasions... Free during sale a Bration with a £45 order...

Take a closer look

I've coloured the cute elephant with my SU markers, the leaf DSP is from sycamore street again as part of this years sale a Bration, which ends on 23rd march.

My sentiment is from teeny tiny wishes.... The little flowers are punched from one of the flowers in the Itty bitty 3 pack set.

Here's what I used

Stamps - patterned occasions (SAB) and teeny teeny wishes
Tangerine tango and island indigo markers
Sycamore street DSP
Itty bitty punch and the dotted scallop ribbon border punch

Happy 2013–Sending many Thanks

Today I wanted to say thank you to all my customers past and present and to wish you all a very happy, healthy and of course crafty 2013.

I also wanted to share with you the ‘Thank you’ cards I’ve been making recently, Ive made these for my son to send out to friends and family who kindly sent him Christmas gifts. I made a total of 15 cards and rather than making them all the same colour i made them in 3 colours, Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry which matches with the Polka Dot Parade DSP.

          IMG_1957

The opening of the card is such a cute idea using 2-3/8”  Scallop circle punch and 1-3/4” circle punch, creates a interlocking design.

Young Vermillion off on retirement

Morning Crafters… So today Ive sorted through my SU stash for retired Stamp sets and Accessories, amongst the retired stamps i came across ‘young vermillion’ and ‘pocket silhouettes’ both lovely stamps and so handy for all occasions. Before i put them safe in a box i had to have a little play with them one last time.. hehehe!! To see all of the retiring items click on the ‘going, going GONE’ link on the right hand side of my blog.

so heres the card i came up with to coincide with this weeks Colour Q Challenge:

       IMG_0939   IMG_0945

I didnt have Bermuda bay ink or card stock, so opted for pool party and a hint of tempting turquoise when colouring in the little bird.

IMG_0947

I used the gorgeous pocket silhouettes stamp set to create a leafy wild area below my bird, so he looks like he’s purched amongst long grasses and wild flowers.

IMG_0946

IMG_0948

I also added some extra leaf and flower heads to the bottom right hand corner to add a touch of dimension to the card, using the leaves from the bird builder punch and the flower heads from the itty bitty punch set

Supplies: Stamps Young Vermillion wood mount £6.95 and Pocket Silhouettes wood mount @ £17.95, Basic Grey, whisper white, pool party and Gunball Green card stock and ink.

Interested in any products or supplies used today I’d love to order them for you and dont forget retiring items are only available while stocks last, to place an order email or call me today on 01842 828643 i’ll be more than happy to help you.

Thank you for popping by today, till next time xx Laura xx
