Bloomin' Happy Easter

Hi Crafters...

Ive been having a play with my bird punch again... i started off making little chicks, then i started making flowers.... take a look

Todays card fits in rather well with two challenges one over at Less is More... link below and the other at Casology link below

Ive used 3 of the birds wings to make a tulip... and then the birds branch stem to make the stem for the tulip...

Ive punched a 2 1/2" circle paper pierced the edges and added my flowers on to it, Ive tied the bunch of tulips with a piece of white bakers twine...

See the sentiment... Ive used the Happy Easter stamp from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set and the Bloomin' from the Sale-a-Bration set Bloomin' Marvelous - get it flowers bloom - bloomin Easter ...

Chalkboard Technique

Have you all noticed at how popular and on trend currently the black board and chalk look is?? well when i saw this weeks challange over at CAS-ual Fridays was black and white plus 1… you all just know what i thought of straight away – yep you guessed it Chalk board technique..
if you would like to take part in the challenge click on the image below
cfc90
There are several ways to create the technique..
1- stamp image using SU white craft ink (101731 @ £6.95)
2 – stamp image in white craft ink then heat emboss with white embossing powder
3 – stamp image in versamark ink then heat emboss with white powder.
i used option 3 for my card take a look:
IMG_2287
Its quite popular to add a white border around the edge this can be done with a white gel pen, i opted to pierce all round my edges. To give the look of a real chalk board i gently sponged around the edges with white craft ink, over my sentiment and around my punched out flower…
IMG_2290
Ive also flicked white embossing powder over my card then heated the card from behind..
IMG_2288
So my plus 1 was Pink… i just love Melon Mambo and black together…

I couldnt resist adding a butterfly with some bling

Love Kreme

Hi crafters and thank you for visiting me today, today I've joined in on a challenge from:

                                                      Less is More
the challenge is - Kraft & Kreme

Click on the link above if you fancy giving the challenge a go too...

Here's my card:

I masked off the top section of my cream layer with post it notes, then randomly stamped the flower and leaf image with stamps from the gorgeous FREE 'Sale-a-Bration' stamp set - Bloomin' Marvelous, this has to me my favourite set.. I think altho im falling more in love with 'Patterned Occasions', I'll show you more from this set tomorrow.

Heres a closer look at my card:

before i removed my masks i spritzed my stamped area with the Vannilla Shimmer 'smooch spritz' it gives any card a gorgeous shimmer, there great value at £4.50 each and available in Gold Glow and Silver foil too.

I dry embossed above and below my masked area to give definition using my Simply Scored scoring tool, my sentiment is stamped from the Su Set 'Field Flowers' which is available in either clear or wood mount.

I must say i love these two colours together.. i used Stampin' Up!'s Crumb cake from my 'Kraft' and SU's Very Vanilla for the Kreme. the colours are so divine and makes me fancy a creamy latte...mmmm

to make this card:
Crumb cake card stock and ink , Very Vanilla card stock, pearl adhesives, Field flowers stamp set, and Sale-a-Bration Bloomin' Marvelous FREE stamp set, Simply scored scoring tool.

Interested in any supplies i have used today?? Interested in earning FREE Sale-a-Bration stamp sets? please dont hesitate me for more details or to place an order, call me on 01842 828643 or email me on laura@mycreativeideas.co.uk I'd be delighted to help you, thank you for coming by today.. ‘Bloomin’ Marvelous’ Wine bottle tag

Morning crafters….

As you read this i shall be on route to a Stampin’ Up! training event, the wonders of technology and schedule post hey!!

As Ive told you in the past when us demonstrators meet we love to swap ideas with each other, this times theme is the up and coming ‘Sale-a-bration’ promotion – heres my swap (excludes bottle hehe)

IMG_2003

The cute tag fits a small bottle of wine..

I thought id provide these instuctions for anyone interested in recreating the tags, there straight forward – they kinda needed to be with 40 to make!!!!

Cut base card at 14.8cm x 6cm score at 6cm

cut layer at 14.3cm x 5.5cm score at 5.5cm

IMG_2010

as you can see from the pic above i punched my sentiment back ground layer and the scallop circle from my base, i did this to save on card – id advise you do these out of off cuts of card.

now your ready to stamp up the layer, i’ve used the Bloomin’ Marvelous Sale-a-bration stamp set – which is available for FREE with a £45 order from 22nd January.

IMG_2011

punching the scallop circle for the neck of the bottle – from spare card stock punch a 1-1/4” circle, then punch the scallop circle 1-3/4” hoovering over circle centrally. you should end up with something like the pic below.. if ive made my instructions clear Smile

IMG_2012

now your ready to stick your stamped layer to your base card, make sure you line up your score lines.

IMG_2013

Stamp out your sentiment – punch out with the small oval punch,

IMG_2014

Glue scallop oval onto bottle tag.. at bottom ensuring short score line at top.

IMG_2015

add sentiment – i used dimensional sticky pads…

IMG_2016

Now punch out on small section circle using 1-1/4” circle punch – mark centre of top if easier to line up punch

IMG_2017

now stick scallop circle on,

IMG_2019

I cut out 40!! of these little flowers to finish off my tag… i embossed it to give it dimension… as below – then glued to edge of sentiment .

IMG_2021

heres – my finished bottle tag… hope you enjoyed to days tutorial…
